firstcheck
This is me at Soft Star Shoes on March 31, 2006. Larkin (and Kahlil) are giving me my first checks from selling the Playful Pancakes on the Soft Star Shoes website.
Playful Pancakes are cat toys - I invented them and I sell them so I can buy goats for kids in Sudan so that they won't starve. You can find out more about it at Soft Star Shoes web site www.softstarshoes.com - they give me the leather and sell them from their web site. I give all the money I make to Kids for Kids www.kidsforkids.org.uk - that is the charity that buys the goats for the children in Sudan. One goat costs $21.

Made by Cassidy in March 2006.
I made this one for Patricia Parker who is in charge of Kids for Kids. That is the charity that uses the money I send to buy goats for kids in Sudan. Patricia said her favorite colors are blue and yellow, so I made the face blue and used my most special sparkly gold for the face and the embroidery.
This is me at the post office getting ready to mail starry to England where Patricia Parker lives.
UPDATE Patricia's cat, Ishtar, had kittens who were given as a wedding gift to friends. Patricia also gave them starry because "the little girl simply loved it and spent a great deal of time carrying it around!"
This is one of Ishtar's kittens playing with starry!
I made this one special for Trisha, who also works at Soft Star Shoes - look at the comments to learn more about Happy Sad's life in Philomath, Oregon!
